A former Portuguese settlement on the shores of Lake Togo, Agbodrafo bears witness to the Slave Coast and invites a poignant stopover just 30 minutes from Lomé.

Agbodrafo is a canton in southern Togo within the Maritime Region, nestled between the Atlantic Ocean and Lake Togo. The city developed around a Portuguese fort and was known to Europeans as Porto Seguro. This former Portuguese settlement sits just half an hour's drive from Lomé, and is now a peaceful small town on the shores of Lake Togo.

Agbodrafo has been recognized as part of the "Slave Coast". Visitors can discover several remnants of this past, including the slave house and the well of the enslaved.
