The Togo Electrical Energy Company (CEET), the country's primary energy supplier, has considerable capacity to meet the population's needs.
There are also private companies operating backup generators that contribute to public lighting. Hotels, restaurants, and the most frequented supermarkets have backup power systems to provide electricity in case of outages.
In Togo, electrical outlets are identical to European outlets. You can plug all your electrical appliances directly into the grid, just as you would in France.
For your cameras, GPS devices, flashlights, and other battery-powered equipment, it's advisable to fully charge your batteries before heading into rural areas.
